Plascon Pearl offers a subtle finish that captures the essence of natural pearl. This premium water-based coating is designed to be applied over an existing wall or trim colour, adding a hint of sparkle and shimmer to the surface. Depending on the underlying colour, the intensity of the shine and hue may appear to alter slightly as the surface is viewed from different angles.

Step 1
Paint the wall or trim in the base colour of your choice if you haven’t already, and allow it to dry.
Tip: Ensure that the wall surface has been properly prepared. It should be smooth, clean, firm and dry. Fill any defects with the appropriate Polycell Filler.
Step 2
Stir the Plascon Pearl well with a flat paddle for 5 minutes before use, and every 30 minutes while painting. Do not dilute the paint.
Using either a roller or a brush, apply a thin, even coat of Plascon Pearl over the existing wall or trim colour, taking care to avoid overspreading the paint. Allow at least four hours for the paint to dry, then apply a second coat, if desired.
Tip: When brushing, keep your strokes in one direction – vertical and horizontal strokes produce different shades. When painting broadwalls, avoid having to touch up areas later, if possible.
Step 3
To protect the coating and enhance the pearlescent finish, apply a clear coat of Plascon Glazecoat Gloss (1124), or Matt (1125), using a clean brush or roller once the paint has fully dried.
